Not easy

Shelly is clearly more tired and the increased pain medication is taking a toll on her as well. She is so frustrated with herself. Those who know her well, know how important perfection and attention to detail are to her and she has such trouble concentrating now.

On a lighter note, her Uncle Sam, Judy's brother, apparently has a latent poetry gene that was awakened by some recent posts. Here is his recent contribution to the poetic lexicon:

It seems that Jess Katz writes a very "wicked" poem
and makes her points by driving them home
straight from her heart without excess chrome.

I like what she says--
keep fighting to hold on as long as you can.
We are with you forever and forever when.

Some may talk of beginnings, and others of ends,
but your life is more a journey,
one surrounded by good friends.
Love
Uncle Sam

Dear dear Shelly, I thought I'd try writing a poem too but the words are not flowing as I wish they were. Maybe in fact, it feels too hard to find a cheerful line when what I most want to do is sit by you and tell you how sad I feel that you are frustrated with yourself, that you are sometimes in pain, and that you are feeling tired. As Uncle Sam says so well, you are indeed on a mysterious journey - but a journey that you continue to travel with incredible grace. As always the best I can do is send you words of love and encouragement - no magic, no tricks, just love and support. May tomorrow be a good day and the day after that a good one too. I hope to see you soon. Much love, Alice

Dearest sweet Shelly, They say when life throws you lemons, make lemonade...well you are already downing the "fish" with pineapple juice so we know you are coping the best you can, Just know how many of us all are out there loving you and wishing you the best from afar..We are so helpless in our ability to say or do anything that will be of help to you, other then to say we love you and pray for easier times ahead for you. Like Scarlett in Gone With The Wind said...Tomorrow is another Day...I just hope it will be a better one for you, sweetheart. Love and Hugs and kisses...Unk E
