The rain held off and we had a fantastic time. It was every bit as wonderful as one could imagine. The manager and trainer, Louie, was expecting us and he couldn't have been more gracious or more kind to us all, especially Shelly.

FANTASTIC! Kudos to Ellen for arranging this, to Harvey for filming it and to Shelly for climbing up and riding Louie (?) the elephant. I hope it was as much fun as it seems. Much love to you Shelly dear. I wish you many more fun days like this one. Absolutely delightful images - bodily functions and all. :)
Love, Alice
WOW! What a wonderful adventure! Shelly you are so brave. Ellen you are amazing for arranging all of this. I love the video.
So thrilled to see Shelly enjoying herself.

Dearest, Producer, Ellen, Film Editor, Harvey...Grip, Judy and Star....Shelly. What a Production, I am, confident that Siskel and Ebert would give this film 2 THUMBS UP. Shelly's ad libs were priceless. Getting the Elephant next to "Libby" to Pish, 50 gallons for the camera for her drug test, on cue, was amazing, but she missed the cup....Shelly looks fantastic. Much healthier looking then her last feature with the Statue of Libery at her Birthday. Ellen you are an amazing and considerate compassionate and wonderful person. I had tears in my eyes during the film from laughing so much during the film...and when Shelly asked if "They were going for a drive, I almost pished too. But at the end when Shelly embraced the elephant and the trainer these tears just came a tumbling down my cheek, What a wonderful experience you had and the treasure is for also sharing it with us, who love you all so much. Like Libby the elephant, was that her name? I know none of us will ever forget this experience and or video....Thanks Unk E...Shel the rate your are going, maybe when you come to Hilton Head in October, we can go swimming with the Dolphins...Or if YOU are not game for that,Howsa bout a cup of SheCrab soup...It is very good there, Love E
Shelly that video was the incarnation of our phone conversation. What a fantastic afternoon you all had and what a joy it was to share it. I think I'll be smiling for days just thinking about it. Ellen, kudos for making the arrangements. Your spirit is an inspiration.
Love to all and Harvey, thanks for making it possible for us to share the joy!
