Update

Our latest info this evening is that a pulmonologist at the hospital believes he can get a biopsy of this hard to reach lymph node that seems active. While he won't be able to remove it, the extra info will help establish the most effective treatment, including possible targeted radiation, another possibility.

This doctor will call tomorrow to discuss the next step, maybe this week or early next week.

Till next time.

Dear Shelly,

I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling so poorly. Although Dave and I haven't been utilizing your blog as much as we intended or you would like, I want you to know that you are in our thoughts and our hearts every day! At the time of this potential setback I hope you know that we are hoping for the best and always available for whatever you need!

Love,
Melissa

Dear Shelly, Okay - just read the update. Another procedure is surely not what you're looking for but if it can help and lead to more positive results, I guess you accept it and take it from there, one day at a time. The weather is gorgeous here today - yesterday too but very cool yesterday. Today the sun will warm you. I hope the sun is out there and that it will indeed warm you! Much love to you, Alice

Dear Shelly, so sorry for what you have to face,so many times to get all this cancer stuff behind you. But I am confident that ,that will be the ultimate result. Because you have been corageously fighting this in the best possible way, proving drs. and diagnosis' to be incorrect and still coming out ahead, even with the accompanying suffering..it will all be worth it....eventually. Keep your spirits up honey , we are all pulling for you. And if your throat hurts after the procedure, just let me know, and I will not eat until you feel better...but can I sneak Malts???? Love them and you too Unk E
