Glad Those Few Days Are Over

The past few days, from Thursday through Sunday around midday, it was pretty tough for Shelly. It looks like starting two days after chemo for about four days, it's sick city.

But last evening and today she is feeling much better. What a relief. Now we have a respite for a couple of weeks - we hope!

I am so upset for all that Shelly has to go through after the chemo, surely somehow you would think with all "they" HAVE ACCOMPLISHED IN SCIENCE,,,,some geek could have by now come up with some elixir to allay all the adverse effects of the chemo..I used to think that milkyways, m&m's, or french vanilla ice-cream with caramel sauce and hot fudge could take away most problems, but I now realize that even those wonderful treats, cannot solve everything. Shelly we cincy/kentuckians have you in our thoughts all the time...Love you honey...You are the best, and will overcome...Unk E I suggest noticed, the funny word I have to put in the box to get my comment to post is...SUFFA...how weird is that???

I am always happier to read about your good days than your bad days, Shelly, and when I plan my summer visit, let's aim for good days!! Most of all let's aim for good days regardless of who is or is not visiting!! I hope each day of this coming week is better and better. Beautiful weather weekend ahead. As for me, I am bracing for two more hard weeks of teaching and then exams and then the dreaded grading season but it is nice to get a pay-check so I'll try not to complain. Still, when college semesters are planned, there should be a 12 week limit. No one can stand these 14-15 week semesters. Too much contact if you know what I mean. :)
Lots of love as always, Alice
