Christmas has come and gone along with the snow. Shelly is on a plateau. Her symptoms remain little changed but her Decadron dose is declining and any discomfort is easily managed with Tylenol so that's good.
Around the time of her next chemo in a couple of weeks she will get cat scanned and MRI'd and we'll know more about what's really going on.
Just wanted to let you all know that we're still kicking!

Hi all, I responded yesterday...do not know what happened to it. Status quo is good...but really looking forward to hearing good news after results of cat scans and mri's. Happy New Year to all, I pray for Shelly first, That Israel survives what I expect to become awful in the middle east. and lastly, my toes...in that order God Bless you all. Ernie
Hi Shelly-belly. I haven't talked with you in a long time, but have been monitoring your progress via the blog.
I am working hard to finish my second-to-last class for my masters in counseling. It's a ton of work, but I will make it as I always do. I realize I am such a freaker-outer and worry endlessly about assignments and requirements, and then I get an A. Interesting to sit back and watch my process sometimes. Wish I was a more go-with-the-flow kinda guy.
Joe and I celebrated 2 years in NOV with a trip to see Madonna. Truly the "gayest" thing he has ever done in his life, but I think he quietly had a blast. She is QUITE the spectacle.
We bought a house in October together. Not without a little help from the generous "bank of dad". It is really lovely. I hope you can come to Denver and see where I live. Get better get better get better.
I am working in the public schools as a reading tutor for the cutest little lo-income kiddos with names like TaZhae and Dontavion - good luck pronouncing those! It's rewarding but lo-pay. I also do my own tutoring at home or at kid's homes - I do about 8-9 appts each week doing that.
I just traded in my Jeep for a more luxurious car. For the first time in 13 years I am not BOUNCING all over potholes and rattling my head. I have leather and set heat and even managed to lower my car payment. The car only has 30K miles. It's a GMC Envoy if you ever see one on the road, think of me. I am calling it Barack - I bought it the night before the inauguration and his inaugural day was my first day of driving. And the car is dark charcoal, so the name felt even more appropriate.
I love you Shelly. Praying for you always. All my love and support.
xoxo
Jeff
Wow dad, so generous to put Shelly and Israel before your toes!
