We'll Take a Rest for a While
The movers are expected to bring Shelly's stuff from storage to her new apartment today. Shelly will officially move in on September 1st. Since things are pretty stable, unless there are important changes, there won't be regular updates until her next cat scan at the end of September.
Please feel free to drop a note on the blog ( we still check it) or click one of the email addresses to the right.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the summer and we look forward to good news at the end of September. And thanks for the wonderful support. It helps.
Ciao for now

Dear incredible Waxman family,
I think this notice of Harvey's deserves a message of acknowledgment and more for the fantastic way you have all managed the past seven months. First of all Shelly. You are magnificent! Your courage and strength (even when feeling absolutely crappy/ lousy and worse) are a model to all of us. Harvey and Judy, Ellen, Debbie, Michael, Benjamin and Joshua - all wonderful beyond words. That Shelly is doing so well, is moving into her own place, that you are suspending these posts - it is all more than I think we imagined we would be seeing. Hope and love are indeed very powerful things - along with Fish and chemo - seem to be doing the trick. I am looking forward to happy times together.
Much love to all of you. Alice
Thanks Alice. Wonderful and encouraging comment.
Dear Shelly etal...Wow Alice really did say so eloquently what I feel too, I never could have expressed my feelings as well as she did so I am glad she got to the post first, Thank you Alice and a big big ditto from me!However this stopping the Blog cold turkey is not going to be easy for me, now that I am addicted. I am now a confirmed Shelly Waxman Junkie and I will need to be weened off a little more slowly and not just cast off as yesterdays used Marajewwanna... I love you all and will keep in touch in other ways. Like tonight when I win the 114 million $ dollar lottery, I'll just hire a jet and drop in to see the new apt. while we go shopping for shelly's new condo....Alas who knows? Unk E
Who knows? I know.
As for stopping cold turkey, life is hard. :-)
I love you all so much...you will never know how much your love and support has helped me though the bad times and I can not thank you enough.
Here's to better times and all the health and happiness we can stand!!!
Shelly
Dearest Shelly..From your mouth to god's ears....Better times are what is ahead.. you have waged a courageous and admirable battle and have come so far and all of that has to count and make a difference.. You and your family are incredible.God love you all,as I do Unk E
A BIG Hooray! Will miss the daily blogs but as previously mentioned, the reason far outweighs the decision. Our best of luck Sherry in your new place and with this change may the future hold only the best for you. I really don't know many of the wonderful people who have kept in touch with you but I do feel the closeness through this medium. God bless and stay on this road to recovery.
All our love, your California cousins...
Estelle and Sumner
