Update Monday

Today Shelly was scheduled for her last chemo. Unfortunately her white count was too low and with her feeling as poorly as she was Dr. B, her oncologist, decided that she would skip chemo today. He was sure that it would make her feel much worse.

Instead she will have a cat scan on Thursday morning and then, based on its result, determine the next best option for her. This could be anything from continuation of her current chemo regimen to a milder form of chemo to a chemo holiday.

The key may be her own immune system and should her cat scan show real tumor reduction, the 'fish' might be her only treatment for a while.

In any case the next few days will be hard for us, waiting and her feeling lousy to boot.

We hope there is continued good news on Thursday (we are very confident that it will be so) and we continue to thank everyone for their concern, but especially for those good thoughts and wishes.

On a lighter note the avian tenants on Benjo look like they might be getting ready to fly. The mother is in the middle.

I have checked the blog religously everyday...But got grand kids on Friday, for weekend, while Jill moved, and have been real-estate busy ,today. So have not checked the blog till just now...so while I turn my back for such a short time, I come to find all hell breaks loose...Shape up people..this is only a temporary little glitch, thrown in to keep us on our toes. Shelly put on a duct tape patch, perhaps even bead it, and lets get this show back on course please!!!!!!!!!!I am counting on your feeling much improved tomorrow and good news to come with tests this week. I am sure of it. It just a good thing you are not here, where it has been hot and humid in the 90's for the last week, and the 17yr Cicadas are back feverishly searching for sex partners, and the noise of female Cicadas with headaches is absolutely deafening. I love you Sellybeth Waxman, Chin up...and if the fish gets to be too much , do what I do with foods I don't like, just put hot fudge on it. So that todays free tip Love Unk E.

Shelly, Tell your Dad that we are watching the fledgling squab with great interest. I've heard they are great right off the grill and taste just like chicken. It sounds to us like you're batting 1000 and will soon hit a grandslam walk-off home-run in the 9th inning of this ballgame. We're all cheering you on. Go Red Sox! Go Shelly!
