A Fish Story

I have made reference to 'the fish' in past posts. Some of you might be puzzled so I'll take a moment to explain.

When Shelly was first diagnosed with stage IV inoperable lung cancer we were devastated. The prognosis was bleak, months not years, they said. In a blink Shelly was in the hospital preparing for intense chemotherapy to try to buy time.

Our son-in-law Michael mentioned his father, a pulmonologist, knew someone who, 17 years ago, had been told he had inoperable cancer and to go home to get his affairs in order - nothing more could be done for him. This man's brother was in Asia on business at the time and came across some Chinese fishermen who were harvesting a nutritional supplement made of lots of smelly stuff such as sea cucumber, sea urchins, shark fin, that has been used in Chinese medicine for hundreds of years.

To make a long story short, Michael's father's friend started taking this fish concoction and seventeen years later is still taking it faithfully every day. Today he is cancer free and has become the US distributor of this natural nutritional supplement. http://www.unicorn-pacific.com/ if you're interested.

I brought some to Shelly the first day she was in the hospital and she has been taking it every day since. We recently told her doctor about this 'fish' to see what he thought about the product (TBL-12) and he saw no problem if she were to take it. Of course this was after ten weeks of her taking it anyway.

How much of her positive results are because of this 'fish'? Who knows, but we don't care. She plans on taking it daily no matter what.

How much of her positive results are due to the prayers and good wishes of all of you? Who knows, but we don't care. We are grateful for where we are today and will try to make the most of whatever time we are given.
