February 16, 2008

Yesterday was another good day for Shelly. Our friends and neighbors continue to overwhelm us with kindness and generosity. Our refrigerator is beginning to look like me after a free buffet - Stuffed.

Shelly continues to feel pretty good although tired; catching up with family takes energy, 'specially our family.

We expect another visit from the southern contingent of the family. Shelly's sister Debbie is coming up from Connecticut with her husband and children, always a wonderful tonic for us all.

By tonight I'll be so pooped I won't even be able to discuss property taxes. That's pooped!

Hi, Shelly...It's me, yet again. Floyd and Sami (our two cats) said to say hi to Oliver. They don't want Oliver to be slighted....he is a great healing tool.

Me too. I'm thinking of you and hoping you aren't too tired from the procedure (what a euphemism) you endured on Thursday and from all the company and goodies. I also hope package #2 arrived today! It is sunny and beautiful here - there too I hope. That's 3 "hopes" so far in one short message. You see where I am going with this I hope. Full of hope for you. Love you Shelly. Alice

You are more than welcome dear Shelly. And there are more where they came from. We could make it like those TV purchases; you get a delivery a month whether you knew that you were signing up for it or not! But I do think you might get tired of lemon so I'll have to check on some of your other favorite flavors. Love, Alice

dearest shelly,

thank you so much for the opportunity to share your love and laughter, lemon squares and even some tears over this long weekend...we love you with all our hearts and hope that you will languish in that love as you face this next round of challenges. We will be with you in our hearts and with our prayers.
