Well, it's a sunny Sunday morning and a beautiful one too. Our little girl had a so so day yesterday, which isn't unusual for her chemo regimen and medications.
A visit with a good buddy yesterday helped a lot to perk up her mood. Today we expect visits from Sam and Margaret, our brother and sister-in-law from Newton and maybe even Shelly's cousin David. Judy's cousin Alice, the maker of Shelly's most favorite lemon squares, is also driving up from New Jersey.
All of next week is free of appointments and it's a welcome relief.
I thought about putting a 'thermometer' to describe how Shelly was feeling, - 1 for lousy, 10 for fantastic but decided against it as too tacky. I was going to call it a 'Shelometer'. Ok so it wasn't such a great idea.

Harvey, We can discuss the merits (!) of a Shelometer when I get there this afternoon! Can't wait to see everyone. Love, Alice
Harvey, The "Shelometer" wasn't such a bad idea. It's just that your daily updates are such a class act and informative that a "thermometer" would be redundant. Hope to see you all the first part of this coming week. Tuesday would be good for us but will call you first. Also, if Shelly is up to a walk, you're welcome to visit us here anytime.

Hi Shelly,
A "Shelometer"? I assume that you are the one that said, "Oh Dad....PLEASE..."
I want to come over and watch more BRAVO reality shows. I am so glad to find someone else who enjoys them as much as I do. Personally, I think that most of my friends are "in the closet" about watching "trashy" TV. They only admit to watching PBS, The History Channel or National Geographic.
I think about you often and wish I could make this better. Your sense of humor and wonderful spirit are inspiring! I will call you this week and see if you're up to a visit and/or watching one of the movies I brought over.
Love to Oliver,
Heath
Hi Heath,
Yes I would love a visit.
Talk to you soon.
Love you,
Shelly
